Leadership Part 3

Leadership AQ Part 3  introduces educators to the foundational principles and practices of leadership in educational settings. The course explores leadership theories, collaborative practices, and strategies that support positive school cultures and student success.

Participants deepen their expertise in educational leadership by examining advanced leadership theories, research-informed practices, and strategies for leading change. Through collaborative inquiry and reflection, educators strengthen their ability to mentor colleagues and support school-wide improvement.

This course encourages educators to consider how leadership practices can support continuous improvement, strengthen relationships among staff and students, and contribute to meaningful change within their school communities.

To enroll in Leadership AQ Part 3, candidates must:

  • Have successfully completed Leadership Part 1 and Part 2
  • Hold a Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
  • Have completed a recognized teacher education program
  • Be interested in developing leadership capacity within educational settings

Participants will explore:

  • Foundations of educational leadership
  • Leadership identity and reflective practice
  • Collaborative leadership and team building
  • Creating inclusive and supportive learning environments
  • Communication and relationship-building within school communities
  • The role of leadership in supporting student success
