Foundation Language Arts (English Courses)

The Foundation Language Arts are a series of class-based, teacher-led English courses (Levels 1-7) to prepare students for higher level academic English courses. They are designed for adult students to improve their speaking, listening, vocabulary, fluency, conversation, comprehension and writing skills.

Foundations English Level 1

Foundations English Level 1 is a skill-building course designed to support students in developing essential English language and literacy skills. Through progressive levels of instruction, students strengthen reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities while building confidence, communication skills, and strategies for academic success across subject areas.

Foundations English Level 2

Foundations English Level 2 supports students in developing and strengthening core English language and literacy skills. Through a progressive, scaffolded approach, students build proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while gaining confidence and strategies needed for academic success across subjects.

Foundations English Level 3 is a skill-building course designed to support students at varying stages of English language development. Through targeted instruction, students develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while building confidence and essential strategies for academic learning and effective communication across subject areas.
